Dr.
David Sierra was
born and raised
in the small San Joaquin Valley town of Madera, CA.
Though his love of animals was always present and
continually being nurtured via his biology teaching
mother, veterinary medicine was far from his mind,
as he mainly dreamed of playing shortstop for the
Oakland Athletics or battling Tiger on Sundays. It
was not until his undergraduate days at UC Davis
where he discovered the field of veterinary
medicine. After earning his undergraduate degree in
Biological Sciences he stayed at UC Davis for
veterinary school where he graduated in 2004. After
completing a one year internship in small animal
medicine and surgery at Veterinary Medical and
Surgical Group in Ventura, Dr. Sierra spent one year
doing relief work throughout the Bay Area. He
joined Pets Unlimited as a permanent associate in
May of 2007. Dr. Sierra has particular interests in
cardiology, radiology (including ultrasonography),
emergency medicine and endocrinology. Sporting
activities and events of all sorts still occupy most
of his free time along with backpacking, fly
fishing, traveling and spending time with Devereux
his golden retriever (the hospital favorite) and
Phyllis his tuxedo cat. |

Dr.
Laurie Kanevsky joined the Pets Unlimited team

settled in Wellesley, Massachusetts. She eventually
moved to New York, where she earned a BA in
International Relations with a minor in Russian
studies at Syracuse University. She completed her
Post Baccalaureate at San Francisco State and New
York Universities and attended veterinary school at
Ross University. She then went on to break the
record for "Most Universities Attended by One Human
in a Lifetime" when she completed her clinical year
at Louisiana State. Laurie currently has two men in
her life: Sebastian, a Border collie mix, and
Oliver, a miniature dachshund. Her interests include
internal medicine, soft tissue surgery and critical
care (whose don't?). In her free time, Laurie enjoys
traveling, snowboarding and scuba diving. |
