A smushy-faced wonder – meet Bunsen, a 2 year-old Pekingese mix boy found as a stray by Oakland Animal Services. Bun-Bun, as we affectionately refer to him, is a very sweet boy whose favored pastimes include belly rubs and the occasional bully stick. He would be at his very best in a more suburban setting with a mellow, adults-only home, as he is currently working on his sharing skills and leash manners with other dogs. Off-leash, however, he can be a great playmate so another compatible pup is not out of the question! Bunsen wants a new guardian that will indulge his belly rub-love and will love him just as he is – smushy-faced & all!

Curie is a bit shy and needs a gentle, positive owner to help her become the confident city dog we know is in there! Since we’ve had Curie in our care, she has become a lot more apt for attention and lap-lovin’ play time! A calm, adults-only home with lots of love to give is just the thing to heal this fabulous lady’s heart. While she is still working on her doggie social skills, she may go home with a tolerant dog. This lovely lady is Clove, a 1.5 year-old Bichon / Poodle mix surrendered at Oakland Animal Services with an atrophied leg. Upon exam, we found Clove to be in need of a hip surgery and got her all fixed up! While still recovering, this spunky gal doesn’t let a little thing like that slow her down. True to her age, Clove is playful, exuberant, and could go home with teens & up or possibly a similar doggie companion! Clove is a devoted girl and would best suit a guardian with a lot of time and energy to spend lavishly on her. Want a steadfast companion with an insatiable appetite for your fabulous company?
